Brand new patented End-plate... a forward step towards the C-Economy
Nowadays, still more than 90% of food and industrial film reel producers and suppliers pack and move their products by using wooden pallets and end-plates, leaving aside the adverse environmental effects caused by the packaging’s life cycle. During the ‘90s Lucy Plast S.p.A. was the first plastic processing and regeneration company to invest in the design of a new end-plate made of recycled and recyclable plastic.
Thanks to the ongoing improvement of processing and quality of monomaterial recycled materials, Lucy Plast is launching on the global market the new patented Double-sided End-plate. The team of professionals involved in the design process is therefore able to provide even more services to the partners, including the management of the waste recovery and the enhancement of the product’s end-of-life.
By replacing non-recoverable, perishable and non-hygienic packaging we are accomplishing our mission. Lucy Plast’s Double-sided End-plate is available in the most popular size (800 x 840 mm, thickness of 38 mm, entirely made of highly performing recycled plastic with respect to the principles of the circular economy). With its innovative design the end-plate is 30% lighter than the “elder sister” and maintains an incredible load capacity thanks to the upgrading of the regenerated materials used in the production.
1) Recovery of plastic industrial waste, reused in the production processes: less waste, greater saving and ecological optimization of raw materials. Lucy Plast has created the perfect blend of regenerated granules to further improve its highly performing products.
2) Higher (at least 9-10 times) rate of reusability of the packaging kit products, with respect to the producer’s guidelines. The wood is reused 2 to 3 times on average, whilst the plastic packaging is entirely recycled and also retains an end-of-life economic value.
3) Hygiene: the pallet’s and end-plate’s surfaces have very few inserts and therefore are easily washable and non-attachable by parasites and fungi. They are also accepted worldwide unrestrictedly.
4) The secondary raw material is verified PSV (Plastica Seconda Vita - Second Life Plastic) and comes from certified sources, such as pre-consumer waste material (mainly from food film companies). By providing this packaging kit, the supply chain from producer to customer is being optimized in each phase of the industrial and distribution process. Moreover, the recovery and reinstatement of the packaging kit within the production cycle is also enhanced and for each kg of materials returned to Lucy Plast you can get back a compensation: an example of best valorization within the circular economy dynamics.
